Camel on a rocket going to the moon — Artist Ryan Hait-Campbell

It’s a wild ride! Lay back and read!

You might want to buckle down and hang the fuck on. The future is going to be a wild and ever-changing landscape. The wild west everywhere: Horace Greely’s quote “Go west young man and grow up with the country.” You want to be ready and be adaptable because folks, this is the paradigm shift, the leap to what it really means to live in the future. I’m going to list some resources for you to be able to read and use to navigate through the landscape from 2020 and on. (Yes, I am a huge fan of Kotler’s writing and his books. Thank you, Steven.)

Flow: One of the most important tools a person should have. Flow is a state of mind to find your passion, your focus, your purpose in life, and stick with it because you are happier, efficient, and content that way. You can find some amazing pieces on flow. I recommend reading these things in order to slowly grasp flow and its psychological concept.

  • The Rise of Superman: by Steven Kotler — great book introducing you to flow, understanding examples from action sports, and how they easily engage with flow.
  • Stealing Fire: by Jamie Wheal and Steven Kotler — more advanced insight into flow, how to steal the fire from the gods for yourself to have ultimate peak performance. Read stories from the US Navy SEALs…
